AvP Alien Warror Figure by Tamashii Nations

Sexy new #Alien #Xenomorph from the #AvP movies by #Tamashiinations !

Grab your flamethrowers everyone as a new threat has arrived to take over your shelves! The brand new AvP Alien Warrior by Tamashii Nations. This is part of their S.H. Monsters Arts line which has been expanding recently. When I first saw this guy on display at their showroom late last year I knew I just had to have him. Ever since watching the Alien movies I have always dreamed of having an Alien figure. Sadly up until now I have not been satisfied with the pose. That is until now! This figure is fantastic. Every bit of him is poseable from his tail to his claws. You can have him stand, hunched or in the pose I have always longed for… on all fours ready to strike!

This is my first Tamashii Nations figure and I am very impressed with the quality. Both the molding and paint job is impeccable. He looks like he has jumped right out of the movies or H.R Giger’s work. One of the best parts is how the mouth opens allowing for the tongue head to burst out! The tail has stunning flexibility allowing you to wrap it around over his head for a menacing pose. The figure also comes with an egg, a chest buster, additional hands/feet and a base. I find that he stands perfectly fine without the base. I was even able to clip a pen to his arm while maintaining a sturdy pose. Overall, he stands at about 6”7’

I highly recommend this to any fan of the Aliens and AvP movies! The Predator figure will be released next month which I have on order so I cannot wait to have them side by side… now if only I could get another nine Xenomorphs to surround him…

Limited Edition 3A Figures

Got some nice #threeA #3A figures up for grabs through our store.

Hello everyone. Lately we have come into possession of some rare and hard to find 3A/threeA figures. If you’re not familiar with 3A, they are an outfit operating out of Hong Kong made up of 2 parts - the well-known threezero aka Kim Fung Wong and one of Australia’s most prolific artists Ashley Wood. They have been at it since 2008, producing many figures based off Ashley Wood's designs as well as many licensed works from Bandai - Gundam ,Bungie - Halo Reach , 2000AD universe and Valve – Team Fortress 2 etc.

The level of detail on threeA figures is crazy with realistic weathering, stitched clothing and cool weapons . The figures themselves look like they’ve come straight from the paintings of Ashley Wood and are perfect for fans of his work or those collectors of high quality 1/6th figures. Pictures below are accompanied by a short description and some official text and back story from the threeA wiki.

Popbot, Tomorrow King Heavy – “Commander Soh” PB001 (Retailer Exclusive)

One of only three Heavy TK’s released in the 1/6th scale. Soh comes with a realistic weathering, backpack, bazooka and a poster of Ashley’s stunning art is included.

Official text (from 3A wiki):
Disdained, outcast, ridiculed, mocked, called nancy boys and generally not invited to parties, Heavy TK's are the outcasts of an already outcast group, foregoing traditional weapons for big guns, they walk alone, masters of the boom.

Adventure Kartel, The Ghastly Halloween… Zombkin! 2 pack set.

This scary set was the first of its kind for threeA to feature a 1/6th and 1/12th figure together. This special set was only available for a short period of time on bambalandstore.com! So this is a rare and limited figure.

Official text (from 3A wiki):
Every Halloween, the GHASTLY ZOMBKIN rises for one hour to claim its 31 victims (that's more than one victim every two minutes for the math impaired). The smell of sod, the grinding of teeth, yes it’s the ZOMBKIN ! If you dare you can get your own ZOMBKIN on the 31st of OCTOBER in the first 1/6th - /12th set from 3A !

Box Text (from 3A wiki):
Once a member of the BLACK RAINBOW band, now dead, well kinda... Once a year, (strangely on Halloween), Zombkin rises from his pumpkin patch to harvest folks and use their fetid bodies for fertilizer!

 Adventure Kartel, King Thumb

The boss of the nefarious 10 finger robot gang comes wearing his long coat, signature sledge hammer, a wakizashi, handgun and a poster.

Story (from 3A wiki):
The Finger Gang blow into town, their boss King Thumb wants some attention from Cherry Shadow, the alter ego of Little Shadow. Apart from Little Shadow being kinda pissed that some lowlife bot wants some, king EMO himself, Tommy Mission (part time boyfriend and nutbag to Shadow) doesn't take it too well either. rev up the TEARS!

Popbot, Tomorrow King, The Yellow Hornets

This Action Portable set, part of the 1/12th line of TK figures has the boy band TK Unleashed in their classic yellow trackies and swords. Comes with 4 figures. Great set for those wanting to build a 1/12th army or customizers looking for a fun set to experiment on.

Official text (from 3A wiki):
TYH "With the news their support band 3menspiss had cancelled on them, Tomorrow Kings Unleashed donned their classic yellow trackies and supported themselves as The Yellow Hornets. Unfortunately The Yellow Hornets did not last long, TK Unleashed successfully sued them for quoff copyright infringements and were never seen again!"

World War Robot, WWRp Noir De Plume – The shadow of a madman

He is the smaller version of threeA’s second ever release WWR 1/6th Noir de Plume and the very first Action Portable 1/12th scale ‘stand alone’ carded release by threeA in 2010. This was an extremely limited release that sold out in minutes (other 1/12th figures came before it, but all were sold in conjunction with other products or at events) .

Each of these are currently for sale through our Ebay page: www.ebay.com/usr/plasticanomaly

Yugioh Patamerun Field (Play mat)

What is a #yugioh Patamerun Field and why are people paying US$30-US$50 for one? Check details below...

So even though it's been a while since Jump Festa, I've still seen a couple of people wondering what the Patamerun Field (パタメルンフィールド) was that was handed out last year as prizes for the Yugioh duel corner at Jump Festa 2014.

The Bujin field. Notice that there are circles around the inner corners where there is no plastic to make it easier to fold.
Here's the little details. Duelists could queue up and partake in duels (as many times as you want). After each match, you get a stamp to record if you have won or lost. Once you have won 3 games (in any order), you are given a random Patamerun Field. Most people just queued up for the booster packs so the field mat was just a little extra something for waiting in the queue for 15 minutes or so. I saw enough people take about one or two turns before declaring defeat to queue up again. You also get them from doing the beginners corner where someone will show you how to play with half decks, as well as doing the attraction corner of mini games (only for kids, families or ladies).

The fields are double-sided and there are 3 different variations. The most popular and talked about is the Madolche/Bujin one, but there is also one featuring Numbers/Chaos Numbers as well as the anime/manga protagonists/antagonists and their signature monster.

So what is this thing exactly? It is a set of 14 laminated cards of the themes mentioned above, joined by what I suppose is the plastic that is part of the laminate. And by card, I'm talking about the thin, a-bit-sturdier-than-paper type. In its entirety, it is about the size of the Gold Series 4 mats but because the plastic bits are pliable, you can fold the whole thing up into the size of one of the cards. You can use it like a play mat but the laminated surface doesn't hold a candle to an actual rubber play mat.

The Madolche field showing the bendy/folding action along the interconnecting laminated parts.
This is how the cards are connected to each other.
And that's all there is to it! My personal favorite is actually the anime/manga character mat since it has Yugi, Joey and Kaiba on it with Black Magician, Blue Eyes and Red Eyes.

The new Bujin coming out, Bujin Hirume, makes an appearance.
