SJump reproduction manga prints

Shounen Jump reproduction prints from the Jump Store featuring Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Toriko etc #shounenjump #naruto #bleach #onepiece #toriko

The Jump Store has released a series of A3 high quality scans of the original manga douga (the actual art work used in printing). There are two to three memorable scenes from popular Shounen Jump manga such as Naruto and One Piece.

My favorites are the Naruto one when he says farewell to his mother and the one from Toriko when he eats the jewel meat. It is nice to see the art work in detail since it is on such a large piece of paper and the pencil marks are still in the margins. I think it is a nice memento that you can get for a series that you like, especially if you really like the artist's work.

A special mention goes to the Bleach one which I picked up just because Ichigo looks really good in it. You can really see Kubo Tite's attention to battle damage haha. It will look awesome once framed and hanging on the wall.

They are available from Jump Stores at the moment with some sold out at certain stores. As expected, the Naruto and One Pieces ones are very popular. The only downside to these is that they are printed on standard paper - however it does keep their price low. These make for great collectors items if you are strapped for cash. If anyone's interested, please let me know asap as I'm unsure when they will stop selling these.

Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl review

New Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl. #G1 #Transformers #Masterpiece

Check out MP-17 Prowl! This recent release in the Transformers Masterpiece line from Takara Tomy is absolutely stunning. They managed to capture the essence of him from the animation and crafted an amazing replica of him in toy form. Like the previous released Autobots he is scaled to fit inside Opitimus Prime’s trailer. This was my first Masterpiece purchase after holding back for the past few years and within two days of receiving him I suddenly had four more! So be prepared to make shelf space if you are a Transformers fan as this is a must have. The alt mode is based on the Nissan Fairlady 280Z-T to really drive home the 80s nostalgic. After a few minutes of transforming, which is straight forward in this model, you really start to get that little kid giddy feeling as you see him take form. Equipped with his two shoulder mounted cannons and his hand held blaster he is ready to take out some Decepticon no gooders!

My only disappointment with the toy, and this goes for all of the Masterpiece line, is I feel it should be painted/crafted to a higher quality to match the Masterpiece name. However, the overall design makes up for this let down. Overall this is a must have for any Transformer fan and I foresee the upcoming Masterpiece releases joining him on my shelf.

New Yugioh Sleeves: Madolche edition!

Check out these new awesome Madolche sleeves! I can't wait to resleeve my deck later #yugioh #ygo #madolche

Right, I finally got my hands on these new sleeves! This was the top #1 choice in a poll carried out a few months back. Of course no one was really surprised, being Japan and all. Originally it was a picture of Puddingcess, as she is on the card. I was really impressed to see that they made a new picture for it instead (compared to Shooting Quasar Dragon). I'll be honest and say, I voted for Blaster and Monster Reborn. I did not expect Shooting Quasar Dragon to be #2...
The Madolche sleeves in all their glory!

Anyway, the sleeves. First off: they are really shiny. Crazy reflective shiny. I had to take several pictures to show you that they don't all have crazy orange eyes. Second: I love the actual picture. I love that it is an original picture that hasn't been cut out of an existing one and pasted together aka Ghostrick sleeves. Third: this is probably the only time that Chouxvalier will be in the lime light, ever :(

The card separator.
My gripes: the card separator that comes with it is Madolchepalooza on one side and Madolche Nights on the other. My reaction: whaaaaaat??? I would have preferred at least one of the sides to have a beast Madolche. My only other gripe: the printed side of the sleeve is kind of grippy (the other side where you see your card is terrific). I feel like the ink will rub off with excessive handling so I'm going to be oversleeving these for protection and smoother shuffling.

These sleeves come in packs of 70, as per usual. You can check them out in my listings here.

Happy dueling everyone!

New Pokemon Center Mascot

So the Pokemon Center changes their mascot and logo for new games. It appears at the entrances as big plastic statues. This is the new one for the Tokyo branch. I'm surprised that it features Froakie of all things. I can't wait to see the Yokohama one later :)

TCG Playmat Review: Character Rubber Mat Collection Movie: K-ON! Death Devil Gokko

In packaging.
To get things started, I'm going to give a short review of my new K-On play mat that just arrived last night. It's released from MOVIC under the Character Rubber Mat Collection and features the characters from the K-On movie.

It is 60cm x 30cm x 0.2cm (23.6" x 11.8" x 0.079") in dimension. I would say that it feels a lot like the World of Warcraft mats or the Yugioh Gold Series mats. That is, decently thick but the material is a bit on the rough side (if you want smooth, I recommend Bushiroad - unfortunately their mats are on the thinner side).

I really like the design; my only gripe is that the length is a bit long for the width. I guess I won't have any trouble with it hanging off the table though :)

Unrolled in all its glory.
Haven't watched K-On? Check it out here. It's a slice-of-life comedy series about a group of girls that form a "light music" band at school. Done by Kyoto Animation so looks nice all around. I recommend it for some light-hearted fun.
